VMware killed the free version of ESXi (6.7) and my USB install of the hypervisor was somehow corrupted, but this left all of my VMs sitting safely (but inaccessible) inside my SSD. I had to use qemu-utils to access the filesystem on this drive since it was in a format that only ESXi would recognize, then convert my .vmdk files to .qcow2 files. I ended up switch... Setting up RAID Storage in the Future2022-06-09T20:20:25-04:00 2022-06-09T20:20:25-04:00 https://shinytreecko.com/posts/setting-up-raid-storage-in-the-future/ Wes Graham I finally got my PC from college back to my house where I was going to plug in my old SSD and HDD which contained my installation of Linux and a bunch of miscellaneous files, old previous website posts, things from high school, and things I was hoping to put back on this new virtualized server. I somehow had an old cable left from a power supply I don’t have anymore and I thought it was one fro... On a 2700X which has 8 cores, there’s enough wiggle-room for what I need to do but in the future I may need to get a new motherboard and CPU with more ... As of June 9th I think I may have finished the script and may not update it unless I come up with another ease-of-access feature. Version 1.0 of my script (I went to Reddit and asked random peopl... Fixing Jekyll Issues and Testing More Stuff2022-06-06T00:21:00-04:00 2022-06-06T00:21:00-04:00 https://shinytreecko.com/posts/fixing-jekyll-issues-and-testing-more-stuff/ Wes Graham Right when I published that first post a bit before midnight, I noticed the time said it was posted 4 hours before at 7 PM instead, but my timezone is set correctly in settings so I’m not sure what the issue is but I could either find a way to fix it in the jekyll config file or just put something like “-0400” in the date section of all the front matter for my posts in the future. I’ve fixed bo...
